EDUCATION 1

The article I read was called "Two steps forward..." written by Mr. Ficsh. This article explains that the school is going to be getting wireless Internet through out 95% of the school by the end of October. This will allow the students and staff to bring in laptops, iPhone and anything else that is wireless capable. I am very glad to hear that this is going to happen because it will give all the students and staff the chance to get more work done during school. Also, there will be two kinds of filters that will allow the staff to put in there login credentials and they will be able to get into sites that are filtered . I think that this will be very good, because it will give students the chance to go to websites for research that might otherwise be blocked. Another amazing thing about this is that being able to have the laptops in class could be a good thing for students that may need extra help so they can take their notes and have their planner in it. All in all this will be a very good thing to have around in school.

I also agree with you because I think that students would be more productive and better organized. You did a good job relating this to our work today. I think it is a good think that the teacher have over ride passwords because then they can show their classes videos on YouTube or any other site that may be restricted for inappropriate content, when really these are useful web sites that can be used for learning but may have something about war in which the district may not "approve of." I was reading some of your other blog and I would recommend choosing topics that maybe could relate to our class or that would tie into your life more. Otherwise you respond good about what is given in the article.
